Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and drive business development strategy and plans for the Japan market, which include, country and industry-specific opportunity assessment, approach for sales resource investment, customer and prospect prioritization, and operational cadence.
  • Lead and manage the Japan Business Development team, which consists of Sales, Account Management, and Service & Operation, by providing leadership, direction, and sales coaching.
  • Recruit, train and develop Business Development team. Oversee key hiring and talent review and development programs.
  • Consistently deliver to productivity and revenue goals.
  • Sustain rigorous and transparent salesforce.com pipeline management and forecasting across the team.
  • Define Key Performance Indicators essential to the business for functions and direct reports. Use these metrics to manage and improve the business.
  • Communicate and collaborate with HQ counterparts to promote effective work relationships and alignment of activities and plans.
  • Make key leadership decisions eg workforce, budgets, new and existing customer segments, etc.
  • Ensure that the Business Development team is geared up to meet its current and future Customer Excellence objectives.
  • To review and sign off on all sales/business development contracts.
  • Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning.
  • Builds company image by collaborating with customers, employees and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10+ years of enterprise sales experience in security, networking, or related SaaS. Minimum 5+ years of sales management experience in security, networking, or related SaaS. Relevant experience heading and managing an Enterprise sales team in the Japan market.
  • Has an excellent sales track record in a similar environment.
  • Agile and quick to adapt to change.
  • Relevant experience driving transformational sales and market strategies will be advantageous. Proven experience building best-in-class sales teams.
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills to handle complex customer scenarios.
  • Ability to execute independently, while collaborating with functional teams globally.
  • Proactive, confident, assertive and entrepreneurial self-starter.
  • Excellent people management skills and a proven track record in managing and leading teams. Excellent written and verbal communications in English and an Asian language will be preferred. 
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required from time to time.
