Job Description

  • Legal head in charge of overseas business line.
  • Company’s overseas business line includes the business in US, UK, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, India and more.
  • Act as a member of the Leadership Team of CDNetworks; provide advice and guidance on overall strategy as well as various activities of CDNetworks to ensure that the Legal function becomes a critical enabler of company operation 
  • Direct responsibility for leadership of the provision of legal services for CDNetworks.
  • Responsible for building and managing a cross-country legal team, perfecting the risk management system and compliance system.
  • Work with business leadership to evaluate legal risks that may impact the business and proactively take appropriate and timely actions to protect the interests of the business.
  • Advise business leadership on matters relating to corporate governance, competition, anti-bribery, litigation, IP, regulatory and other compliance considerations.
  • Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Provide cradle to grave legal support for commercial contract related matters for products, services and projects, through the tendering, execution and dispute resolution phases, in collaboration with other functions as necessary.
  • Identifies potential legal risks of the company, offer solutions to mitigate or eliminate those risk and ensure senior management are aware and accept residual risks.
  • Legal support for important contracts and major policy decisions.
  • Manage outside counsel in order to achieve the best result at a reasonable cost.
  • Settle all kinds of disputes& lawsuits. 
  • Lead and develop legal team in charge of overseas business line.
  • Maintain seamless communication with the Group’s legal teams. 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in common law from an accredited institution .   
  • Excellent communication in both English and Mandarin to communicate effectively with counterparts in China and other parts of the world.
  • Minimum 10 years’ legal experience.
  • Familiar with employment law/company law/contract law etc.
  • Legal management experience on supporting various regions/countries.
  • Familiar with legal management mode/system/procedure, able to provide legal advice for company operate and minimize the risk.
  • Possess exceptional cultural awareness and have strong influencing skills.
  • Working experience in UK/US will be preferred.
  • Legal Professional Qualification Certificate and other international certificates will be preferred.
