Sr. System Infrastructure Deployment Engineer (or SIDE) needed to provide field support and to monitor, receive, analyze, resolve or escalate system/service incidents for all global IT systems in a 24x7 environment. The SIDE will ensure all incidents are logged and resolved, gather all relevant data, ensure all incidents and tasks follow the appropriate procedures, support data center activities including planned work, and other requests as needed. The position will provide mentoring, training, and direction to other engineers as well as handling internal customer projects.
Job Scope:
Architect assigned systems and advise on critical systems design decisions
Design and implement process improvements
Evaluate talent and assist in recruiting and team-building efforts
Provide mentorship, training and direction to team members
Maintain existing department and system documentation
Utilize project management software to plan and track progress
First responder to all alerts and problem reports while managing communications between
departments and handling crisis documentation and dissemination after the fact
Responding to and resolving tickets logged both internally and externally
Performing general system administration duties including OS patching and upgrades, batch job
monitoring, system and hardware diagnostics, and other activities to ensure optimal health and
performance of all systems as required
System Administration of customer environments both physical and virtual for managed and
dedicated hosting clients
Assist/work closely with Network, System Engineers to configure customer requirements
Provide status updates to management regarding issues and progress
Physical deployment of network devices, servers, cables, etc.
Assembling server hardware for deployment and OS installation
Requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including international if necessary
Have reliable transportation and be able to travel between various California job sites within Los
Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange counties, as directed by the company
3-4+ years Network Operations Center experience in North America
High school diploma and/or GED equivalent required
A keen analytical and structured approach to problem-solving

Must be reliable and have schedule flexibility with the ability to work non-standard business hours
Hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, as well as be able to frequently kneel

Ability to work weekends and/or holidays on a rotational basis to accommodate business needs
Must be available for 24/7 on-call work (including weekends & holidays) to debug and
troubleshoot production issues, as well as after-hour deployments
