Job Description


CDNetworks is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer (TSE) to join our Technology Excellence (TX) team in deploying, operating and troubleshooting content delivery products on a global scale. CDNetworks is expanding our support team to work on new and exciting projects, including launch of a next-generation computing platform and new cloud security services. A successful applicant will get hands-on experience working with multiple CDN platforms on the 2nd largest CDN in the world. The TSE will learn new technologies and work alongside some of the most talented engineers in the industry.

This is a senior role, which is a mixture of tier 3 support, sysadmin, and devops. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working on Linux platforms using web servers, e.g., Apache or Nginx, and/or cloud applications, e.g., cloud computing, SaaS, or cloud security. It is also very important to understand how HTTP and DNS work.  The candidate will also be required to have some scripting skills in order to automate troubleshooting tasks.

Job Requirements



  • 3-5 years of experience supporting a related technical service, such as SaaS, cloud web applications, or cloud security products
  • Web server experience, e.g., Apache, Varnish, Nginx
  • Strong understanding and troubleshooting experience with HTTP
  • Good understanding of DNS and how it works
  • Experience scripting (shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting experience using packet analysis tools, WireShark, tcpdump, etc.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Motivated self-starter who can work well with minimal supervision


  • Experience with CDN technologies/services
  • Strong knowledge of DDoS mitigation service (e.g., L3 or L4 Attack)
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Security service (e.g., WAF, L7 Attack)
  • Familiarity with XML-based configurations
