Job Description


Your role as a Solutions Engineer at CDNetworks consists of owning the Technical and Business aspect solution selling. You will take ownership of the solutions process by establishing the superiority of CDNetworks’ products and services to effectively meet and exceed our North America office sales revenue goals.

To ensure your technical success, you will leverage your engineering proficiency and your industry experience to lead and facilitate the development and presentation of solutions to meet the business needs of the customer. You will use CDNetworks infrastructure and connectivity to your advantage, as well as your partnership with internal associated teams in Marketing, Product Management and Engineering. You will have the tools to grow customer loyalty and build prospective ones.

Your business role presents you with a unique opportunity to be in a position as a key contributor to growing CDNetworks’ customer accounts. You will carry a revenue quota that will be compensated with commissions for providing your technical consultancy in closing deals in addition to your base salary. You will own accounts which will give you plenty of additional opportunities to earn commissions through successfully enhancing the customer experience by evaluating their business’ growing needs and endorsing upgrade solutions to set them up for success.

A strong ability to communicate effectively is fundamental to your ability to create highly organized presentations in customer-facing situations. You will demonstrate your inherent capacity to critically think and problem solve to channel your resources of solutions when presented with challenging and critical scenarios.

Your success in this role will be supported by having:

  • 8-10 yrs. experience in specialized Solutions Consulting and Sales in Video Security, Digital Media and Entertainment Broadcasting products and services.
  • Ability to grasp value propositions surrounding metrics like Quality of Service Experience and Security
  • Significant experience in building Solutions and Sales strategy in order to consistently deliver revenue targets and quotas.
  • DevOps experience to bring practical knowledge of cloud platforms, CDN, micro service, containers, dockers and Kubernetes; and building distributed applications at a large scale.
  • Experience with internet technologies, including an understanding of data analytics, streaming and site delivery.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Worked for CDN in Sales Engineering Role
  • Worked for Managed Security firm in Sales Engineering Role. Have sold managed WAF, Bot Management, Anti DDOS solutions
  • Worked for Distributed Web Monitoring in Sales Engineering Role
