Job Description

OVERVIEW

The position is generally responsible for the following: supervising the day to day accounting operations, closing, reporting and taxation.

The ideal candidate will possess accounting roles in global, small to medium-size companies. This is a very hands-on, operational position that requires heavy attention to detail and successful time management to meet deadlines.

 

Candidates with more experience may be considered for Accounting Division Head position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

General Accounting

  • Manage and supervise the accounting team while cooperating with other teams in the overseas subsidiaries office and HQ office.
  • Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial statements for management review.
  • Improve and maintain accounting policies and process.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing and reporting.
  • Review the intercompany transactions per company policy.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Provide periodic financial statements to parent company which is A-share listed.
  • M&A integration work on accounting policy and accounting system

Taxation and other works

  • Manage Hong Kong corporation tax filing with external consultants.
  • Participate in international tax planning activities with external consultants.
  • Any other issues for taxation and regulations in Hong Kong.

 

 

Job Requirements

 REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Degree holder in Accounting or related discipline.
  • Qualified accountant with minimum 5 years Big 4 audit and 2 years enterprise accounting experience with listed company, preferable in high-tech industries.
  • Experience working on M&A integration and international tax planning would be preferred.
  • Familiar with HK tax and knowledge in PRC tax, transfer pricing would be preferred.
  • Mature, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Group and regional exposure is highly preferred.
  • Able to work effectively under critical deadlines and multi-task.
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Able to travel to Shanghai and Beijing frequently.
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office applications; Knowledgeable in accounting system (SAP) is a plus.
