OVERVIEW

The Head of Product Strategy is a key leadership position and will play a pivotal role in the growth of CDNetworks’ business across several key markets, in line with financial objectives, strategic direction and the company’s vision. Our portfolio of solutions comprises of CDN, Web Security, Media Acceleration, IDC and other Cloud Computing services.  This requires strong collaborative and cross-organizational relationship skills, knowing how to quickly impact the business and deliver quality information and results while balancing multiple priorities.

This role will lead the Product Management and Marketing teams on product strategy, product enablement and localisation, providing input on product development and enhancement projects, as well as ensuring product alignment with customer and market requirements.  You will drive the execution of Go-To-Market plans for accelerating new products and services, whilst playing a consultative role in supporting stakeholders across local offices to develop end-to-end product value propositions.

The ideal candidate should be an independent, high-performing and resourceful individual who has deep knowledge of the CDN industry and related technologies. You should also have experience in product management for large scale technology platforms, as well as strong technical and commercial acumen.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and direction for an agile team focusing on product management, project integration and marketing.
  • Spearhead the development of a cohesive product strategy, owning the implementation of short and long terms plans in order to meet regional and country product revenue and booking targets.
  • Develop GTM plans with Marketing for solution launches and sales enablement activities, including providing support to product positioning, messaging and content.
  • Partner with the global Product and Development teams to identify product growth initiatives, including new product solutions and new product launches. This includes defining a detailed product roadmap and aligning key releases to deliver on the roadmap.
  • Lead cross functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle from product development and process enhancement projects to testing, operations, service delivery and deployment.
  • Provide input on pricing strategy so as to ensure industry competitive price structures and return of investment.
  • Mapping the value of our solutions with customers’ needs, interface and manage requirements with global internal teams, integrating contractual requirements with business operations, and developing and commercialising value propositions for our solutions
  • Continually and proactively build an understanding of CDNetworks’ market share, market opportunity, technical capabilities, internal initiatives/resources, competitive intelligence, technological and business trends.
  • Drive ongoing technical and commercial training to Sales and Presales teams on CDNetworks’ services.
  • Provide support to key customer engagements including lending expertise to architectural discussions on CDNetworks’ solutions, responses to customer proposals, and ascertaining technical and business requirements.

 

Job Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • 10 - 15 years of combined experience in product management, product enablement, product deployment and product marketing for large-scale enterprise cloud computing solutions (SaaS, PaaS or IaaS).
  • Strong understanding of the Internet ecosystem, CDN, Cloud Security, OTT/Media solutions, Cloud infrastructure, Managed Hosting and Cloud Computing services.
  • Cloud Computing experience in Azure, AWS, Aliyun, Google Cloud will be an added advantage.
  • Strong experience working with and leading remote cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and effective presentation capabilities.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment.
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time dependent on business needs.
